The team at MC Homes is once again proud to be the contractor for the 2023 St. Jude Dream Home in the Paducah region. This is a project we are thankful to be a part of, now for the 5th straight year.

On this page, you can view the progress of the home as we reach certain milestones in the construction process. Follow along as we bring you all of the stunning details of this very special home that raises so much money for such an important cause.

This year’s home will be located in our exclusive Eagle Landing subdivision, a lake residential development just south of downtown Grand Rivers, KY. Boasting incredible views and with easy access to Lake Barkley, the location of this year’s St. Jude Dream Home has the perfect blend of outdoor life while being just a short drive to town, if you can bring yourself to leave it!

This year’s Dream Home will be inspired by the tudor style house, featuring several nods to this classic design while still being rooted in modernity. One of the exciting aspects of our work on the St. Jude Dream Home is that we get to also take full control of the style.

As we mentioned before, this year’s Dream Home is in our very own Eagle Landing subdivision, located right off of Kentucky Lake near the Barkley Dam.

With the location set, our team got to work creating a unique home built in a stunning modern style with some playful nods to the classic Tudor style home in both the architecture and design elements that will be found throughout.

Construction is well underway, and we’ve completed the framing of this year’s highly anticipated Dream Home. With the structure in place, we can begin laying out the finishing touches that will transform this home into something spectacular.

Roof and Windows

Roof Complete & Windows Installed

The next big milestone for our Eagle Landing Dream Home is the roof & windows! The dark frames of these ViWinTech windows are going to make the exterior of our home really pop.

Drywall Installed

Things are starting to take shape on the inside of the home! Drywall has now been installed and the flow of this year’s Dream Home is now more apparent, including the beautiful arched doorways from the classic Tudor style!

Siding Goes Up

With the inside coming together and the weather being extremely cooperative, we’ve now begun adding the siding to our Dream Home. We can now really visualize the rendering coming to life!

This is one of the most meaningful moments of the building process of the St. Jude Dream Home, and we are honored to be able to sign our names on this project. Knowing the mission of St. Jude and the help the proceeds from this Dream Home will bring to families in need is why we are excited to volunteer for this project year after year.

Stonework Added

It's finally time to put the finishing touches on the exterior of the home! The stonework was the last addition to be made to the exterior of the home, adding a lovely organic light tone to compliment the dark trim and roof, as well as create a lovely rustic texture to really make the home pop.

Cabinets and Flooring

Now that the exterior is complete, it's time to start putting in the pieces of the interior. Today, we installed the floors and cabinetry in the kitchen. Here, the excitement ramps up, as we now start to see the final view of the home come into focus!

Finishing Touches

With the floors in and cabinets installed, it's now time to start putting in all the finishing touches, such as these amazing countertops and unique light fixtures that really give this home some character.

The Completed Home

The 2023 St. Jude Dream Home is now complete! It's the culmination of ideas and inspiration, paired with the strength and dedication of each and every person involved in this effort year after year. Getting to see such a beautiful home come to life is one thing... but knowing the impact it is going to make with the money it raises in the end, that is priceless.
